“…Even in the midst of my bad attitude, God showed me that at the end of the day it is Him alone who saves souls…”

“Hey Joe would you be able to lead evangelism tonight?” If I’m honest when I got that text my first reaction was, “Nooooo I wanna just stay home.” But being a leader I reluctantly complied. It didn’t take long for the conviction to sink in, and I prayed the Lord would give me a better attitude. I even thought, Gods probably going to do something awesome tonight just to prove how dumb I am. Well, we arrived at the mall, prayed, and went out to share some Jesus. Christian Conte pointed out two kids who looked pretty bored, so we decided to go up and give it a try. By the end of the conversation I had led Jake in a prayer to accept Jesus, the first time I had ever done that in my life. We were able to give him a gospel of John, and I got his phone number and invited him out to impact next Friday.
Even in the midst of my bad attitude, God showed me that at the end of the day it is Him alone who saves souls. It’s not about results, it’s about being faithful, God will always accomplish His will. It all starts with a recognition that we can’t do it ourselves but when we make ourselves available, He will use us to help bring the Truth to those who so desperately need it.

(Impact has been going out to evangelize on a weekly basis. We have been so blessed by our times of sharing Jesus with people, and we are going to start blogging our experiences so that we don’t forget God’s goodness!)
