We can’t believe it’s already the 11th day of our trip here!
Today, a few from our team went out to the supermarket to gather some food and pack up some sandwiches before going back to Margaret Island. Once we got there, Isabel Santos led us into worship before the devotional done by our leader and photographer, Caleb Irizarry, reading from Luke 10.
The students then spread out into new groups to evangelize around the park and got to spend time with students from Golgota Budapest directed by Pastoral Staff and High School director, Marcell Nemeshegyi.
Hear what our students had to say about their experience!
“Today was such a wonderful opportunity to go out and evangelize in Margaret Island a second time. It is incredible to see the Lord move through simple conversations with strangers. Anna and I had a conversation with two sisters, planting a seed of truth in their hearts, and trusting God will provide the growth. Please keep Mara and Nina in prayer!” - Bobby
“I’m so glad I got the opportunity to evangelize in the park today with my partner Manny. We ended up meeting this wonderful couple David and Lily where we got to share our testimonies and talk about their views on religion. We came to them with an intent of spreading the love of Jesus to the broken hearted and letting them know that there are people in this world that care about them. It ended up being this fruitful conversation where we were no longer speaking with nervousness, but the flowing of words from the Holy Spirit.” - Amaya
“Today was really fun. I absolutely loved evangelizing in the park, it's such an amazing opportunity and honor to go witness to people and plant the seeds of the gospel! For me, that was definitely the highlight of my day. I also enjoyed the fun and fellowship we had afterwards, playing games and singing worship with our brothers and sisters in Christ." - Daniel
“One thing I really enjoyed about today was getting to spend time with a few of the Hungarians we met at Vajta earlier in the week. After a couple group games we had a time of worship led by Isabel Santos and then broke up into small groups for prayer. I’m so thankful for the opportunity that I got to talk with and get to know some of the girls from Hungary better.” - Phoebe
“We all got the opportunity to evangelize on Margaret Island today! The weather was perfect and my evangelism partner and I were blessed to have a conversation with two young women in which we were able to share the Gospel and the love of Jesus with them. After evangelism, we all enjoyed a time of fellowship with some servants from the Vajta Castle. We got to worship, pray, and play games with them, and it was a great reminder of how we are united in Christ, no matter our backgrounds. All around, it was a beautiful day!” - Anna
Later that night, we grabbed some burgers for dinner and ended the night with the classic gelato from Hiszteria Cremeria. We’re looking forward to our last full day here in Hungary tomorrow as we attend Sunday service at Calvary Chapel Golgota and tour around the sights of Budapest one last time.
