Today was our final full day here in Hungary. After a long trip's worth of work, we spent the day sightseeing the city of Budapest.
We began our day with private devotion time before breakfast. After eating, we headed out to attend the 11 am service at Golgota Budapest. We were able to reconnect with old and new friends there before the service began. It was a great time of worship as multiple nations and languages came together to praise the Lord! The worship, service, and message was presented in both English and Hungarian.
Once church ended, we set out to the Vajdahunyad Castle, located in the Városliget Park, one of the largest parks in Budapest! We spent some time there strolling and taking in the views of the park and all it had to offer.
After this we went down to the Danube
River — where both the parliament building and one of our favorite cafes, the Madal Cafe, are located. This served as a great spot for the students to rest and refresh before we continued on with the rest of the day.
To end off the night we hiked up Castle Hill to the one and only Fisherman's Bastion — one of the greatest views of Budapest! It is an amazing spot to take in the beauty of the city and the sunset!
Day 13
Our final day was our travel day back home. It began early with a 7 am breakfast in order to leave our hostel by 8 am. We made our connection flight in Dublin, Ireland as we had on our way here. It took us until 9:30 pm to arrive home at last back at Calvary Chapel Old Bridge, NJ. However, due to the 6 hour time difference, it felt like 3:30 am!
Praise the Lord for His protection over us in all of our travels and for His provision over this entire missions trip. Until next year!
