Ukraine Hungary Day 7

Hello! Today, we were really feeling the wave of exhaustion coming over us. We knew it was the last full day of camp. Before the start of camp, we gathered together and encouraged students to take some time in prayer to the Lord by themselves, and then to lift each other up in prayer. It was exactly what we needed before the start of this long day.

Nothing too notable came from the morning, but during free time, the kids had the option to go spend time at the pool, which was a great way to relax and enjoy the warm weather. It was also another chance for our teens to hang out with the Ukrainian students and continue building those relationships.

In the evening, we had our final sermon, where Caleb Irizarry shared a gospel message with the kids. Please pray that every student who heard it would take it to heart and truly understand the hope found in Christ.

After the message, we had one final competition between the different groups of kids by way of Song Competition. Each team had to make their own song that was based on the camp and what they learned. It was a blast. Afterwards, we celebrated by announcing the winners of the week’s events and taking time to acknowledge all of the leaders and helpers who made this camp possible.

After the night was done, the reality began to set in that it was all coming to an end. Both groups of teens began to realize this would be one of the last times they would see each other. Many of the teens were in tears. They shared some sweet moments of praying over each other and talking with each other about the last few days.

After that we called in a night and headed to be for the last day of the camp.
