Ukraine Hungary Day 9 After a long week in Zhdeniievo (The town where the summer camp was hosted) and yesterday’s baptisms and goodbyes. We were able to settle into our new sleeping quarters. Hello! Today, we were really feeling the wave of exhaustion coming over us. We knew it was the last full day of camp. Before the start of camp, we gathered together and encouraged students to take some time in prayer to the Lord by themselves, and then to lift each other up in prayer. Day 2 of camp was packed! We met as a team at 7am to go over the day and get ready for everything that the day has in-stored. Between todays craft of making tie die shirts, group game time when we brought America to them and taught them our youth group classic game Giddy Up. We had lots of fun with the kids. Day number 3 started with an early departure from our hostel. We left the hostel at 6:20 am, headed straight to McDonald's for breakfast, and right onto our 8-hour train ride to Mukachevo, boarding at 7:20 am. The kids were great and caused no issues while on the train. The 8 hours flew by, as we spent them playing games and taking naps, before we soon found ourselves in Mukachevo. Our Impact Ukraine/Hungary trip has officially started. The travel to Hungary was rough on everyone but we are all in high spirits and excited for our ministry in Ukraine! From JFK to Dublin and finally to Hungary everyone was happy to finally arrive at our hostel in Budapest. Even though we would only be in Budapest for the day, we made the most of it.
